Documents revealed how the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), used the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to move N226,188,500 million to Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship elections. In the same way, Trader Moni and Farmer Moni of the previous administration were often suspiciously released weeks before elections during that era.

A breakdown of the funds disbursed shows that N72,374,500 was moved to Kogi State on November 6, 2023, through the Director of Finance Account, National Social Investment Agency, just five days before the governorship elections. Recall that the Kogi 2023 elections turned out to be very bloody and riddled with manipulation of the system.

The minister’s advanced team members: Hon Thalis Olonite Apalowo (NPM, GVG), Mrs Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola (Project Accountant), Ibrahim Adamu (Department of State Services), Adejumo Olusegun Agbailu (TTL, GVG)), Mr Iyanda Abiodun (Protocol Officer), Chime Jessica Ginika (ONPM), and Salami Surajudeen Ojo (Driver) received N200,000 for a flight ticket and N20,000 for an airport taxi, totalling N1.54 million.

Also, the minister’s main team received N2,159,500 for DTA for five nights, local running @30% of DTA, for flight tickets and airport taxis. In addition, each of them received N200,000 for a flight ticket and N20,000 for an airport taxi.

The main team members are Caroline Nelson (SA Strategy), Abdulrasheed Olariwaju (SA Media), Mamman Mohammed Sanusi (SA Protocol), Agbor Smart Edim, and Felix A. David (Chief Details) and Ibrahim Adamu (Department of State Services).

The minister received N300,000 for a flight ticket, while nothing was recorded under her name for an airport taxi.

Recall that in the prequel of this article, the same minister was implicated in an attempt at the diversion of funds, which was allegedly halted by the office of the accountant general of the federation, and an earlier article referenced a call for probe of Betta Edu made to the President by representatives of the N-Power initiative.

The Presidency claims to be investigating all the allegations levelled against the minister. Perhaps Betta may be sacrificed by this administration to appease Nigerians. Only time will tell.
