Abducted Ekiti School Children, Teachers Regain Freedom

The kidnapped pupils and staff of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure Ekiti have been successfully released from captivity. The harrowing ordeal happened on Monday evening as they were returning to Eporo after school.

Recall the abductees, consisting of both students and teachers, were abducted along the Emure-Eporo Road. 

Report has it that a government official in Emure Ekiti, speaking to reporters, confirmed the release, stating, “The abductees are here, the parents and family members are here. I will give you details shortly.” 

The source further added that officials from the state Ministry of Health were present to provide necessary medical attention, with plans to transport them to Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
