“Simi doesn’t owe you shit” Adekunle Gold Replies Samklef

Adekunle Gold and Samklef go head-to-head on Twitter as the Hitmaker tells the latter that his wife, Simi, doesn’t owe him anything. The tension was ignited when Samklef accused Adekunle Gold’s wife, Simi, of orchestrating online backlash against him.

Nigeria’s Twitter went on a rampage of online exchanges in the music scene. The first was the heated exchanges between Wizkid and David. Adekunle Gold and Samklef joined the party, with the latter’s accusations triggering a swift response from the former.

Samklef’s claims extended to asserting his role in shaping Simi’s career, vowing to remind her of his influence now and then. In response, Adekunle Gold ordered Samklef to stop calling his wife’s name every three market days and that his wife doesn’t owe him anything.

AG Baby also told Samklef to “make himself” since he claims to have made his wife who she is.

Amidst the online sparring, Adekunle Gold revisited an old grievance, recalling a previous incident where he and a friend paid Samklef for a song that was never produced. He recounted feeling mistreated when they visited Samklef’s residence in Ogba, further souring their relationship.

While Adekunle Gold appeared to have moved on after stating his piece, Samklef continued disparaging him and his wife, even divulging details about producing Simi’s debut album, ‘Ogaju’.

The feud between the two musicians adds another chapter to the ongoing drama within the Nigerian music industry.
