Thugs Threaten Lagos Residents Not to Join #EndBadGovernance Protest

Thugs have threatened residents in Lagos Island ahead of #EndBadGovernance protest.
A video trending on X showed some thugs warning market traders that whoever comes out Thursday to protest will be dealt with mercilessly.
“If them born you well, come out to protest,” they said in Yoruba.
The threats come amid heightened tension as different groups prepare for the protest, meant to address widespread hardship and economic challenges faced by citizens.
The thugs in the video could be heard saying; “Anybody that is confident should come out on Thursday to protest. Are you the only one hungry?“If they burn your shops, who will be responsible for it? On Thursday, if you truly believe in your cause, come out and protest. You are not the only ones who are hungry; we don’t want things to be destroyed in Lagos. We will not allow it,” the men in the video warned.
As at the time of writing this report, the security agencies in the state are yet to respond or react to this development.
