Breaking: Police Fires Tear Gas at #EndBadGovernance Protesters at Eagles Square

352

#EndBadGovernance protesters at the Eagles Square in Abuja were tear-gassed by the police this morning.

The protests had attracted huge crowds as early as 8:00 a.m. despite court orders restricting them to the MKO Abiola Stadium for protests against hunger, economic hardship, and bad governance.

Protesters, who had convened at the agreed venue of the MKO Abiola Stadium, began to march toward the city centre at Eagles Square, central to the nation’s capital, in an intensifying manner and calling for change.

According to ICIR,  police used tear gas in another attempt to scatter protesters.
