Film director Peter Sedufia is set to release his movie One Night Guests on December 25, 2024. The film is expected to be a major highlight of the holiday season, marking a significant collaboration between Nigerian and Ghanaian cinema.

The movie, which will be simultaneously released in Ghana, Nigeria, and francophone countries, boasts a star-studded Pan-African cast. Nollywood heavyweights such as Chidi Mokeme, Ini Edo, Lasisi Elenu, Akah Nnani, and Real Warri Pikin are featured alongside celebrated Ghanaian actors, including Roselyn Ngissah, Majid Michel, James Gardiner, and Yvonne Okoro.

Sedufia, known for his box office successes and international distribution achievements, had initially intended to shoot the film in Ghana. However, the director revealed that it was challenging to secure investors in his home country since 2022, despite his impressive track record.

However, I found investors in Nigeria on my first pitch in late 2023 because of my previous successes. So, they asked that I move the project to Nigeria. Should I have said no?

To build excitement for the film, Sedufia and his team recently delivered black boxes to some of the actors. These boxes contained casting letters, the script, and other goodies, adding a personal touch to the collaborative effort.

Set in Nigeria, One Night Guests promises to blend the cinematic styles of both nations, potentially setting new benchmarks for Pan-African storytelling.
