The government of Burkina Faso has strengthened its military medical response by deploying an ultramodern mobile hospital to the front lines.

President Captain Ibrahim Traoré officially handed over the facility to the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs on Tuesday, aiming to enhance the treatment of wounded soldiers in active combat zones.

I am officially handing you the keys to this mobile field hospital. This will be the trend from now on. Often, while we evacuate some wounded people, we lose them along the way. It is therefore important to ensure that we have sufficiently modern hospitals at the front to support the troops. Make good use of them! Traore said, handing the keys to the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Célestin SIMPORÉ.

The mobile hospital consists of two state-of-the-art vehicles with an autonomy of eight hours, and is intended for the diligent care of elements of the combat forces injured in operations in accessible areas.

There is the imaging vehicle which allows for all the diagnosis to be carried out using the scanner, X-rays and the laboratory (…) and the second vehicle, an operating room which is equipped to carry out surgical operations, the Commander, Daouda SAWADOGO said.

According to Daouda, this mobile field hospital can also be deployed to support a hospital center for certain urgent services, the hospital system is accompanied by a batch of 80 foldable hospital beds.
