French international footballer N’Golo Kanté has invested $5 million—equivalent to more than 3 billion CFA francs—into constructing a state-of-the-art medical centre in Mali, his parents’ homeland.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Al-Ittihad midfielder-funded facility is now in its final construction phase. It is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare for underprivileged children and families.

During his visit to Mali, Kanté also took the opportunity to reconnect with his family and pay tribute to his late father and brother.

Born in Paris but deeply connected to his African roots, Kanté is widely admired for his talent on the pitch and humility.
