Burkina Faso is set to launch a groundbreaking real estate project valued at over 528 million dollars with the launch of the ‘Burkindi Business Centre’ in Ouagadougou to transform the capital city into a West African business powerhouse.

The large-scale development promises to reshape the city’s urban landscape, featuring a 35-story skyscraper, office buildings, a shopping mall, and residential complexes, AIB reported.

Mikailou Sidibé, Burkina Faso’s Minister of Construction, highlighted the significance of this public-private partnership, which aims to modernise Ouagadougou’s infrastructure, create job opportunities, and position the city as a key business destination in the region.

According to Sidibé, the project will also help reduce the state’s rental expenses and increase housing availability, addressing a growing demand for modern accommodations in the capital.

Once completed, the Burkindi Business Center is expected to attract investors, strengthen the national economy, and enhance local quality of life.

Earlier, Sky Mali and Air Senegal announced a partnership to introduce new flight routes connecting major cities in West Africa‎.

The lines from Bamako to Ouagadougou and Bamako to Abidjan are a collaboration expected to enhance connectivity and air transport options in West Africa.

Also in August, the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, had expressed commitment to massively invest in other sectors, including health, education and agriculture, once the country’s security situation further improves.
