Gunmen Attack Ebonyi Police Station, Burn Vehicles, No Casualties

Gunmen attacked the Ohaukwu Police Division in Ezzamgbo, the headquarters of the Ohaukwu Council Area in Ebonyi state.
There were no casualties, as the police officers fought back and repelled the attack.
However, the gunmen managed to burn some operational vehicles at the station.
The attackers, reportedly eight in number, arrived on a bus and started shooting, causing panic in the area.
The chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Prince Ikechukwu Odono, confirmed the attack. He also confirmed that no lives were lost but that some police vehicles were burned.
The council chairman said the incident disrupted the distribution of palliatives at the council headquarters.
A source close to the incident said everyone, including the Chairman of the Council, ran for their lives to avoid injuries from the gunshots, Vanguard reported.
Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Police Command has not confirmed the incident.
