JUST IN: Tobi Amusan Advances to 100m Hurdles Semi-Finals at Paris 2024 Olympics

World record holder Tobi Amusan has qualified for the semi-finals in the 100-meter hurdles at the ongoing 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Competing on Wednesday, Amusan dominated her heat, finishing first among the eight athletes with an impressive time of 12.49 seconds.

Following Amusan, America’s Alaysha Johnson secured her spot in the semi-finals with a time of 12.61 seconds, while Jamaica’s Janeek Brown also qualified, clocking in at 12.84 seconds.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, August 9, with the final event set for the penultimate day of the athletics competition, Saturday, August 10.

This marks Amusan’s third consecutive Olympic Games. Tobi Amusan was Nigeria’s flagbearer for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
